• COUNTY BURN BAN IS IN EFFECT 
  Colorado County is under a Burn Ban until further notice.  Burn Ban Order (pdf) 
  

• County Offices and buildings will be closed January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  
  
• Road Closure, Precinct 3:  Reichardt Road will be closed to thru traffic starting December 3 and will be closed for approximately 6 months for bridge replacement at the San Bernard River (Austin County line at beginning of Frantz Road).

COLORADO COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.  THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.21% AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $22.25.
