Colorado County Emergency Management Urges Impacted Communities to
Report Damage from Hurricane Beryl 

Texans can report storm damage to homes and businesses using the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) damage survey. In addition to helping officials determine eligibility for various forms of disaster assistance, the information provided in the self-reported damage assessment surveys also aids officials in connecting impacted Texans with available resources to assist with the disaster recovery process.   Click here for more information on reporting damages

 

El Manejo de Emergencias del Condado de Colorado insta a las comunidades afectadas a reportar los daños causados por el huracán Beryl

Los tejanos pueden reportar los daños causados por la tormenta a hogares y negocios utilizando la encuesta de daños de la Herramienta de Evaluación Individual del Estado de Texas (iSTAT).  Además de ayudar a los funcionarios a determinar la elegibilidad para diversas formas de asistencia por desastre, la información proporcionada en las encuestas de evaluación de daños autoinformadas también ayuda a los funcionarios a conectar a los tejanos afectados con los recursos disponibles para ayudar con el proceso de recuperación del desastre.  Haga clic aquí para obtener más información sobre cómo informar daños

  • NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE IN PRECINCT NO.  1:EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE COUNTY ROAD 112 @ BUCKSNAG CREEK is closed due to bridge construction.  Use County Road 167 as an alternate route.

  • COLORADO COUNTY IS NOT CURRENTLY UNDER A BURN BAN. Colorado County Emergency Management requests that prior to starting any controlled burning (woodpiles, fields or large refuse piles), please call the Colorado County Communications Center at 979-732-2388, option 2.  They will ask you for the location and a contact number.  By doing this you will help prevent the needless dispatching of volunteer fire departments and will also receive information if a Burn Ban or Red Flag Warning is in place.  For more information on the burn ban status please click here

  • The Colorado County Hazard Mitigation Plan is under going review and needed changes as required every 5 years.  Due to COVID and grant funding issues, we are a little behind, but moving forward.  Part of the review process is getting public input concerning the plan and information that folks my have that need to be included.

COLORADO COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. 
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.496 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $33.63.
